Baba Zorka’s Presnac
Presnac- Baba’s Serbian Cheese Soufflé
As I add recipes from my recipe box, I oftentimes come across several recipes for the same dish. In this case, I have 4 recipes and all of them are just a little different. This is the recipe that my Great Grandmother – Baba Zorka used when she made Presnac for her family and friends.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Bisquick
- 1 lb. Tillamook Cheesse grated
- 2 cups Milk Boil and Cool
- 3/4 cube butter melted in hot milk
- 4 eggs separated
- 2 1/2 Tbs. Sugar
Instructions
- Beat egg yolk and cooled milk and butter. Add sugar
- Add Bisquick until pancake consistency.
- Add the grated cheese.
- Beat egg whites and then fold into mixture.
- Melt 1/2 cube of butter in a 13″ x 9″ pyrex dish.
- Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
