Another Presnac recipe, and this one is just a little bit different. This is from another family friend – Millie. These presnac are really cheesy, and my mom said this is one of her favorite.

Ingredients:

5 beaten eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 T. sugar
1 cube butter
1 ¼ c. Bisquick
3 c. milk
9 oz. grated longhorn cheese
9 oz. grated jack cheese

Directions:

Butter a 9″ x 13″ pyrex. Combine all ingredients and pour into the pyrex. Bake at 375° for 40-45 minutes.

Presnac – Baba’s Serbian Cheese Soufflé

As I add recipes from my recipe box, I oftentimes come across several recipes for the same dish. In this case, I have 4 recipes and all of them are just a little different. This is the recipe that my Great Grandmother – Baba Zorka used when she made Presnac for her family and friends.

Ingredients:

2 cups Bisquick

1 lb. Tillamook Cheesse, grated

2 cups Milk (Boil and Cool)

3/4 cube butter (melted in hot milk)

4 eggs separated

2 1/2 Tbs. Sugar

Directions:

Beat egg yolk and cooled milk and butter. Add sugar

Add Bisquick until pancake consistency.

Add the grated cheese. 

Beat egg whites and then fold into mixture. 

Melt 1/2 cube of butter in a 13″ x 9″ pyrex dish.

Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.

What is the secret to really good lemonade? Good lemons! I have a very fruitful Meyer Lemon tree in my backyard and my friends say that they are the best and juiciest lemons ever. I have to agree!

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups lemon juice

1 cup pure cane sugar

5 1/2 cups filtered water

Instructions:

Juice approximately 4-5 lemons. Add the juice to a large pitcher. Next add the sugar and whisk until fully dissolved. Then add the water and whisk again to mix the ingredients together. Refrigerate the lemonade until chilled and when ready serve over ice.
